New worlds to conquer
Ok. Lofty title, but I'm feeling a bit eloquent today. I finished or published a new work last week. Saying published seems a bit misleading since it's not a book but another web serial like what I did with spec ops. This one's different however.
Spec ops is a Star Wars fan fiction. No shame there. I enjoy writing the stories (when time permits) but in the end I'm constrained by the movies and setting that was set down by someone else.
Feeling that old returning itch to explore that tends to take me to Scotland, Ireland and abroad I decided to make something new to explore so ... http://brassgriffin.net
It's a steampunk genre with airships, intricate clockwork mechanisms and plenty of room for stories. All in all, I'm happy with the first story, I think it's got a good flow. The plot is probably a little thin but I was shooting at the 'pulp adventure' target rather than epic story.
Here's hoping it's well receieved. You just never know with Internet based media, the public is just so very fickle!
